The McClelland Gallery is located at the centre of a beautiful sculpture park in 4.5 hectares of cultivated bushland. Australian sculpture is a major focus of the collection which consists of over 1,000 works. The collection also specialises in works on papers such as Australian and English watercolours of the 18th and 20th Centuries and includes a notable collection of Meldrum School paintings.

A selection of the gallery's permanent Australian sculpture collection is on display in the grounds.
